hot flashes news the chasm

After years of struggling to find a secure deal, Mexican/American underground extreme metal band THE CHASM have finally secured a deal with Earache Records.

Band leader Daniel Corchado has made the official statement, "We are very proud to announce that after several years of struggling and some bad experiences on the record deal territory, somebody finally had the guts to step up and get us a professional and serious deal.

The Chasm has exclusively been signed to legendary/long time running UK Based Label Earache Records for the release of the upcoming 7th assault in our cursed odyssey. With this deal inked we finally finished an era of uncertainty about the future of new albums being released, and it definitely takes a big weight off of our shoulders, meaning that the focus in only creating music will be much more accomplished. We can only expect a very serious and dedicated relationship from this deal, and it will definitely provide The Chasm with a very strong attitude and support.

Very special appreciation goes to Dan Tobin and Dig for strongly believing in the real core of the band, and respecting and supporting our Total Heavy Metal of Death Crusade.

Composition and Procreation of the new Death Hymns has already started, and as mentioned before, we are gonna take our time and do what we have to do in order to build what it shall become a very immense and abhorrent Dark Piece of the Deadliest Metal ever created by The Chasm.

The plan at the moment is to record the new album in early 2004, but a lot of things can happen in the rest of the year, so any update or change will be posted here as soon as it becomes available. To all those True Believers of this cult we can only say that this new era will be a more devastating and obscure and that your Raging Souls won't be disappointed at all with the new Chapter! Expect the Ultimate praise of death..."
