THE DEAD DAISIES – Richard Fortus And Dizzy Reed Exit Group For “Momentous Project"

Guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed have left The Dead Daisies, fueling speculation they will be a part of the reunited Guns N’ Roses as announcement says they will be focusing on a “momentous project.”

The Daisies are working on a new album for late 2016 release and former Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich will be Fortus’ replacement, joining vocalist John Corabi (Mötley Crüe), guitarist David Lowy, bassist Marco Mendoza (Black Star Riders), and drummer Brian Tichy.

“Doug was Richard’s first pick to replace him,” said Lowy. “He’s a highly accomplished musician, performer and songwriter and we’re really looking forward to Doug joining us as the Dead Daisies adventure rolls on.”

Only three musicians have been confirmed for the GN’R reunion: Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on lead guitar, and Duff McKagan on bass.
