The Glorious Sons has announced a US leg of The Contender Tour alongside extensive Canadian dates that keeps the band on the road into December. The run begins September 13th at Chill On The Hill in Sterling Heights, MI.
This excursion marks the band's first run of The United States as headliners, and follows a coast-to-coast tour the band appeared on with 10 Years earlier this year. In addition to club shows scheduled, The Glorious Sons will appear at festivals that include the Louder Than Live Festival in Louisville and Rock Allegiance in Chester, PA.
Singer Brett Emmons shares, "In Canada we found our success with constant touring and hard work. We are going to do the same thing in the United States. We will win fans over with a dirty, bloody, sweaty rock and roll show, one show at a time. We’re excited play in front of new crowds and cover as much ground as possible in the big U.S. of A.”
Last night, the band's composition "Heavy" was the official theme song for the WWE's pay-per-view event Battleground, staged at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO. The headline bout featured Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE World Heavyweight Championship). Leading in to the event, "Heavy”, which rose to #2 on the Canadian Rock Charts, was heavily integrated in to promotional programming across WWE TV and all on-line properties, reaching the ears of millions of viewers and web surfers across the followers of the WWE's social media network.
Prior to the headline run, The Glorious Sons will appear at Waterfest in Oshkosh, WI on August 7th followed by a headline appearance at Chicago's Schubas on the 8th.
