THE J. GEILS BAND Unites Again For Houseparty 2014-2015 Tour; Select Dates With BOB SEGER

The J. Geils Band - known since the early seventies as one of rock’s greatest live acts - will return to the road for a series of dates that will take the band into the new year. Their energetic and exciting performances are legendary - from their early Fillmore days through their touring throughout the world with the Rolling Stones - right up to the present.

For this four-week run of shows, the J. Geils Band will give their fans another dose of hard-driving rock ‘n’ roll as the multi-platinum sellers once again unite for a series of late fall/winter concerts. Beyond headlining shows, The J. Geils Band will support rock and roll icon Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band for 15 shows (including a December 19th performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City). The joining together of these two artists should prove to be an unforgettable evening of great rock and roll.

The band is hitting the road with original members Peter Wolf (lead vocals), Seth Justman (keyboards), Danny Klein (bass) and Magic Dick (harmonica), and will be joined by longtime associates Duke Levine (guitar), Kevin Barry (guitar) and Tom Arey (drums).

Peter Wolf says, “The J. Geils Band tour allows me to revisit an extensive body of work that we created together. To regroup once again and play these shows means a lot to us, as I hope they will to our old and new fans.”

Wolf also has acclaimed success as a solo artist in his own write, garnering such praise from Rolling Stone as “recording one of the top 100 greatest recordings of all time.” Wolf is also touring this year as a solo artist and will be releasing his latest solo effort in 2015.

These Boston-based rockers, who’ve been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, are known for their special blend of blues, rock and rhythm n’ blues. They’ve toured with blues greats such as Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf and John Lee Hooker and headlined with the Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty and U2. Signed to Atlantic Records in 1970, the band received immediate airplay with the singles "First I Look at the Purse," "Looking for a Love," "Give it to Me," "(Ain’t Nothin' But A) Houseparty" and "Musta Got Lost.” The group garnered further commercial success in the early 1980s with their EMI albums Sanctuary, Love Stinks and Freeze Frame, which included the smash hits “Love Stinks,” “Freeze Frame” and "Centerfold" (#1 for six weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart).
