THE RETICENT’s Chris Hathcock Nominated For Grammy

Many know Christopher Hathcock only as the mastermind behind the progressive metal project/band known as The Reticent. Few know that he is also a band leader, an original composer, and perhaps most rewarding, an educator.
For his work and dedication in the field of music education Hathcock has been nominated for the Grammy Music Educator Award for 2017.
In April, Mr. Hathcock was named by the Grammy Foundation as a quarter-finalist for his work in the field of musical education. Nominees were taken from thousands to hundreds of names of teachers and instructors from all across the country. Semifinalists will be announced in September.
Hathcock continues to teach and impact today’s youth with the gift of music, understanding, and appreciation. Testimonials from some of his past and present students speak volumes of the effect that he has had on them, as well as his love for what he has dedicated his life to.
