TOM MORELLO – “I Was Appalled At The Number Of White Power And Nazi Tattoos That Fans Felt Comfortable Showing Off” At Ozzfest; Rare 2005 Metal: A Headbanger’s Journey Raw & Uncut Video Interview Posted

Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, The Nightwatchman) was interviewed by BangerTV’s Sam Dunn in 2005 for the documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey. He talks about his experience as a black man playing rock guitar, why racism has no place in heavy metal, and how all music is political. This extended interview excerpt is presented raw and uncut, with new director's commentary.

BangerTV, the all-metal YouTube channel from Banger Films, continues its weekly metal debate show tomorrow (Thursday, May 5th) with Lock Horns: Stoner/Sludge Metal.

In the Lock Horns: Doom Metal episode, it was decided there needed to be a separate branch of the Metal Tree for bands like Kyuss and Electric Wizard. BangerTV is happy to oblige: Introducing the stoner metal debate... and sludge too!

Metal fans from around the world are invited to join in live and help figure this out (420 optional). The episode will be co-hosted by returning journalist, Natalie Zed. Catch the live stream on Thursday, May 5th at 4 PM, EST at this location.
