Finnish/American sleaze thrashers Tornado are gearing up for the release of their new album, Black President. Frontman/founder Joey Severance checked in with the following update on September 11th:
"Hello friends! We are excited to present another track from our forthcoming new album, Black President. With today being the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, this song deals with the brave men and women from the FDNY and their efforts. In other Tornado news, we are still seeking a label to release the new album while also finalizing a new drummer as Jani unfortunately developed problems with his arms before we went to record the new album. He was advised by his doctor to not play drums for a while as to not further aggravate his injury. We all in the Tornado camp wishes Jani a speedy recovery! He kicked serious ass on this new album!"
In anticipation of the release, the band has granted BraveWords an exclusive first look at the cover art for the record created by Serbian artist Anthony Avon.
The album tracklist is as follows:
"Black President"
"Flesh Crawling Nightmare"
"911 First Responder (FDNY)"
"World Pieces"
"T-Minus 10"
"Ghetto Wasteland"
"David and Goliath"
"Under the Crimson Moon"
"Stop the Madness (Part I and II)"
