TOUCH THE SUN Featuring Former ANNIHILATOR Bassist RUSS BERGQUIST Working On Full Length Debut Album
January 19, 2016, 8 years ago
DuskMachine / former Annihilator bassist Russ Bergquist recently resurfaced with a new project, Touch The Sun. According to a press release issued by the band, Touch The Sun is a Vancouver-based project that started two years ago with drummer Rob Wade, guitarist/vocalist Alex Roque, and guitarist Cam Jarvis writing an album's worth of material with the objective of releasing a full length album void of today’s commercial restrictions and formulas. During the recording process, Bergquist was brought in to record all the bass tracks and complete the core of the line-up.
Check out the band's video for "Be My Enemy", released earlier this month. For updates go to the band's official Facebook page.
Bergquist was a part of the Annihilator line-up twice, from 1999 – 2003 and again from 2005 – 2007. In 2013, DuskMachine released their self-titled second album, which features three former Annihilator members: Bergquist, drummer Randy Black and vocalist Joe Comeau. The line-up is rounded out by guitarist Nikolai Wurk.
