Vancouver-based Trailight mastermind Omer Cordell has checked in with the following announcement:

"I've been very busy as of late, writing material for a new album. There are a few ideas which I'm quite happy with but still, I'm at very early stages of demoing.

Looks like the usual suspects are going to be playing on the next one; Dave (Padden/vocals), Cory McBain (guitars), Ryan van Poederooyen (drums), and a few guest appearances I've yet to confirm but there's plenty of time still.

Here's a short sample of a track in titled 'Train Of Thought'. Excuse the vocals, this is me singing and I'm no Dave by any stretch of imagination. Again, this is just a demo.

Once again, thank you for everyone's support, I hope that you're all sharing the music with your friends who will hopefully support the album as well!"

Cordell recently issued the following update:

"Here we are! A year and a half of work has now come to an end and what an amazing experience this has been! I am now very proud and very happy to present to you my new album, The Primitive Mountain.

The album is now available for purchase here. A percentage of each album sale will be donated to VOKRA (Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue). Music and kittens, how cool is that?!"
