TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA’s North American Winter Tour 2014 – Tickets Go On-Sale This Friday

It was recently announced that Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) will perform its rock opera The Christmas Attic live for the first time in arenas across the nation on their Winter Tour 2014 beginning on November 13th. Presented by Hallmark Channel, the 2014 Winter Tour will find TSO playing more than 120 shows in 71 cities across North America.

When the tour goes on sale at Ticketmaster in early-mid September (fan club on sales began September 3rd; public on sales begin September 12th), fans will have the opportunity to donate to Point Hope, the non-profit humanitarian organization founded by radio personality/author/ celebrity, Delilah. All donations will be rewarded with an exclusive TSO remix: “Music Box Blues (Point Hope Charity Mix)”. Visit Trans-Siberian.com for dates and details.

Previously included on The Christmas Attic album, “Music Box Blues” features the wonderfully soulful vocals of the late “Diamond” Daryl Pediford. This remix of that treasured song is sure to delight TSO fans, both for the listening pleasure as well as the good the funds will surely bring. Listeners of Delilah’s nationwide nighttime radio program are well aware that this is a harmonious partnership, as TSO’s music is heavily incorporated on “Delilah” throughout November and December.

TSO creator, lyricist and composer Paul O’Neill explains, “Delilah's ‘Point Hope,’ is a lifeline to the most vulnerable part of humanity, children. The needs and wants of these children, knows no geographical boundaries or time limits and Point Hope offers the most basic of human needs, which is the hope that the future will provide a better tomorrow for everyone.”

In addition to the fundraising for Point Hope, as in all previous years, a portion of all ticket sales will go to benefit select local charities along the tour. To date, TSO has donated more than $11 million to local charities.

While 1998’s The Christmas Attic features one of the band’s most popular songs "Christmas Canon", surprisingly, it is the only album of The Christmas Trilogy never to be performed live. The album’s (and stage production’s) narrative begins on Christmas Eve, when a young girl's curiosity leads her to a night of mischief and magic. She decides to sneak up into the attic of her parents' home while she should be asleep and there discovers a magical doorway to the past in the form of a mysterious trunk filled with ornaments, toys, old records and bundles of handwritten letters. A startling discovery in one of the letters, leads to an unlikely adventure. To coincide with the tour, The Christmas Attic will be re-released, complete with bonus tracks, as well as a special vinyl edition.

TSO celebrated its 15th year of live shows last year and has consistently ranked in the Top 10 for attendance and grosses according Pollstar, the touring industry trade publication. The group has played more than 1,600 shows for more than 11 million fans, cementing itself as one of the world’s biggest arena rock acts. This ongoing success is due to TSO founder Paul O’Neill’s vision, which has melded the sound and fury of rock music with the storytelling of Broadway to create a unique amalgamation he calls, “rock theater” that leaves crowds of all ages speechless.
