TRAP THEM – New Album Due This Fall
April 6, 2016, 8 years ago
The as-yet-untitled new album by Trap Them has been completed and is expected to be released worldwide this fall. Once again, the band enlisted unofficial fifth member Kurt Ballou (Converge, Skeletonwitch) at GodCity Studios in Salem, Mass. to capture their unrestrained and unapologetic darkened hardcore sound. Co-founder/guitarist Brian Izzi says, "We’re psyched on how the album came out and can’t wait for you all to hear it. More info on that soon."
The group has also announced two headlining shows on the East Coast in May. Adds Izzi, "New year, new set list. We added a bunch of 'Darker Handcraft' songs to our set that we haven't played in a while. West Coast: It's been way too long and we're working on getting out there later this year. UK/Europe: Yep, Wokring on that too. See you all soon."
Upcoming shows:
May
5 – Worcester, MA – Ralph’s
7 – Brooklyn, NY – Saint Vitus
Trap Them's venomous 2014 release Blissfucker – the follow-up to their Prosthetic debut, Darker Handcraft saw the band co-headline the sold-out Deathwish Fest with Converge in addition to a handful of East Coast dates with Coliseum. Limited quantities of Blissfucker on 180-gram black vinyl and special edition gray vinyl (ltd. to 300 copies) are still available.
