On October 6th, Twisted Sister turned up as a surprose act at the Cathouse 30th Anniversary party at the Roxy in West Hollywood, capping off the night. The first batch of fan-filmed video from their set is available below.
A message from drummer Mike Portnoy: "Thank you Hollywood, The Roxy, The Cathouse and Riki Rachtman. It was short but sweet, but at least Twisted Sister got in a quick farewell to Los Angeles!"
Speaking to Ethan Sacks of The NY Daily News, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider commented, "As a live performer I have fought long and hard to stay in the kind of shape, to deliver the kind of energy and a powerful show that people expect, but nobody beats gravity. The fact that I'm 61 and people look at me on stage and I'm fit and thin and I'll be there shirtless and jumping and rolling and falling and leaping. And people are going, 'Oh my God, are those eight pack abs?' I can't do it forever and we want to leave people with a smile on their face and a good memory."
