UNDEROATH Announce Los Angeles Show Venue Upgrade
March 22, 2016, 8 years ago
Underoath, who kicked off their Rebirth Tour on March 16th with a sold out hometown show (the first of, as of now, 20 sold out dates on the tour), were set to announce a March 27th Los Angeles show yesterday, and then a funny thing happened, the show sold out via word-of-mouth before it was formally announced.
Originally slated for the Fonda Theater, the March 27th performance has been moved to The Novo by Microsoft (formally known as Club Nokia) with additional tickets available now, here.
“Self Help was so amazing,” said singer Spencer Chamberlain. “We were completely blown away by the turn out and reaction that we decided to add a LA show so we could play both They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line for all of you in the LA area as well. The show sold out so fast we are moving it to The Nokia. Thanks again, we are so grateful for your support.”
Underoath announced their reunion in August, with guitar player Tim McTague saying, “We never thought we’d ever even want to play together again, much less be as excited to do so.”
The Tampa-based outfit disbanded in 2012, with Aaron Gillespie departing in 2009. The reunited lineup is Aaron Gillespie, Grant Brandell, Spencer Chamberlain, Chris Dudley, James Smith and Tim McTague.
