PlayThisRiff.com, which is owned and operated by Bob Balch from Fu Manchu, sat down with Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain from Voivod to pick his brain about riffs for around 60 minutes.

Says Bob Balch: “Level: Beginner 7… This is probably the only "Beginner" Voivod lesson you'll see on the site! In this lesson, Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain will show us the intro riff in the Voivod song "Killing Technology”. Daniel will also go into detail about how Voivod riffs differ from other metal bands and how he grew up listening to founding Voivod member Piggy’s guitar playing.”
