WHIPLASH - Original Drummer TONY SCAGLIONE Returns To The Fold; Live Dates For 2016 Confirmed

Original Whiplash drummer Tony Scaglione has returned to the fold to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band's classic debut record, Power And Pain. The band is reprtedly gearing up for live dates in 2016. Scaglione has issued the following statement:
"The stars have finally aligned! It's with great pleasure that I can officially announce my return to Whiplash, where it all started for Tony Portaro and I. It is truly an honor to realize that people to this day still appreciate the music we created after all of these years. I can't wait to get back on stage, and in the studio with Tony and Dank (Delong / bass) and deliver some power-thrashing death!"
Formed by Portaro and Scaglione in 1984, Whiplash joined forces with bassist Tony Bono, who passed away in 2002, and were often referred to as "The Three Tonys."

Whiplash are also confirmed to perform on the 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise, sailing Thursday, January 22nd on board the Royal Caribbean "Liberty Of The Seas" from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Ocho Rios, Jamaica- returning on Monday, January 26th.
Tickets for 70000 Tons Of Metal are on sale now. Ticket prices start at US$666 plus US$333 taxes and fees per person and include all on-board entertainment, non-alcoholic and non-carbonated beverages, all meals in the dining rooms, most on-board restaurants and even 24 hour room service!

Skipper Andy Piller states: “I want to make sure the intimacy between the bands and the fans does not change in our new environment. When we had 2,000 cruisers we booked 40 bands. Now we will have 3,000 cruisers which means we will be inviting 60 bands to perform!”
