WHITE ARMS OF ATHENA - "Heavy Sleep" Track Streaming

Three years after the release of their debut Astrodrama, Texas quintet White Arms Of Athena return with their follow-up. Their self-titled sophomore effort is scheduled for release through Prosthetic Records on December 2nd. The track, "Heavy Sleep", can be heard below:
The band have revealed a sampling of what you can expect in the below video clip. The video also reveals the album's radiant and psychedelic cover artwork, designed by Luis Garcia, which the band hand-picked stating, " It represented a portrait of Athena, evolved. We want to put focus on Athena with this album. The artwork's evolved nature hopefully represents the same qualities in our music, as we feel like a new band with this album."
The goup's self-titled sophomore effort combines elements of their acclaimed epic prog shred soud with a fresh blend of psyschedlic drone and ambient samplings. The album was recorded and mixed by Kurt Ballou (Every Time I Die, Converge, Kvelertak) at GodCity Studios, while being co-produced and engineered by Travis Kammeyer (Storm of Light) and mastered by Alan Douches (Baroness, The Dillinger Escape Plan).

White Arms Of Athena have also announced a hometown show alongside progressive metallists Intronaut, which takes place in Fort Worth, Texas on Novebmer 14 at Tomcat's. Having previously performed with acts such as Arsonists Get All The Girls, Katalepsy, The Contortionist, Holy Grail, The Ocean and more, the band will soon announce more dates to coincide with the album's release.
