WITCH MOUNTAIN To Release Fourth Album This Fall
July 19, 2014, 10 years ago
Portland-based Witch Mountain's fourth album Mobile of Angels will be unleashed by Profound Lore Records this fall in North America on September 30, and via Svart Records in Europe and beyond.
According to a press release, Mobile Of Angels sees Witch Mountain deliver their most epic and musically challenging album to date. Lead singer Uta Plotkin delivers her best vocal performance yet on what proves to be a darker and more brooding album than any of its predecessors. With a cleaner and warmer sounding production (courtesy of legendary producer Billy Anderson (Sleep, Neurosis, Melvins), album tracked and mixed in Type Foundry studios Portland) yet still maintaining that massive heavy bluesy and melodic tone the band are known for, Mobile Of Angels is another formidable chapter in the Witch Mountain saga.
Witch Mountain has been featured on the Scion Rock Fest in Tampa, Roadburn Festival in Holland, Noctis Valkryies in Calgary, the Hellfest in Clisson, and will perform at Hopscotch in Raleigh, NC.
The band has toured the US many times, just completed its second European trek in May/June of 2014, and is set to support Nik Turner's Hawkwind throughout the US and Canada this August/September.
