Woman Fatally Struck Following AC/DC Show In Moncton

According to The Canadian Press, Moncton police say a young woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the Trans-Canada Highway in New Brunswick after attending the AC/DC concert at Magnetic Hill. The 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

AC/DC appears on the Billboard.com Hot Tours tally at #3 with $4 million in sales reported from an outdoor Canadian performance on August 28th at the Plaines d’Abraham in Quebec City. Promoted by Live Nation and Montreal-based event producer evenko, the concert drew 48,588 fans.

The legendary Australian rock group is on the road in North American through the end of September in support of its November 2014 release, Rock Or Bust. The band appeared at the Coachella Music Festival in April before playing 24 cities in Europe from May 5th through July 25th. A North American leg began on August 22nd and will feature performances in 11 stadiums during a five-week run that wraps at the end of September. The Quebec performance was the first of three outdoor events staged in Canadian markets during the trek. Finally, in November and December, the band will return home to wrap the tour with a seven-city swing through Australia and New Zealand.
