ZAFAKON To Release Split 7” Vinyl With DEUS INC. For Record Store Day

Puerto Rico-based death thrashers, Zafakon, have announced their first vinyl release for Record Store Day, that will take place at Casa Ruth in Rio Piedras on Saturday, April 16th.
“Taking advantage of the positioning of the vinyl releases inside the heavy metal world, we decided to make the release happen on this format. Some people think that there’s a nostalgic sense in the whole vinyl consuming now a days, other think it sounds better, some just want to go through the experience on putting a vinyl on a record player. We just love the format and wanted to make this happen”, says Weslie Negrón.
The release will be a split album with the Puerto Rican death metal band Deus Inc. The band has the guitar playing works of José Ibañez, better know as “Josu” from Puerto Rican punk legends Tropiezo, among others.
“There’s a variety of colors that we decided we wanted to release this in. We got the standard black vinyl, glow in the dark, and a bunch of beautiful random colors that will be eye candy for the vinyl records collector”, concludes Negrón.
There is a pre-sale for all the people that are outside of Puerto Rico.
