The main program features a total of 17 songs performed live, with the band brilliantly executing everything from ‘Scattered Remains, Splattered Brains’ to ‘Priests Of Sodom’. The live footage, culled from a pair of 2010 concerts in Englewood, CO and Albuquerque, NM is expertly shot with up close camera angles that really make the home viewer a part of the show. Revealing footage filmed on the road is interspersed between the live material, making this feel more like an actual movie, as opposed to just another live DVD – hats off to director and producer Denise Korycki for a job well done! It quickly becomes evident that Cannibal Corpse truly is a worldwide phenomenon. Global Evisceration showcases just how grueling travel across Europe can be, given the hectic schedules and ensuing sleep depravation, but the band soldiers on. A more realistic documentation of life on the road is unimaginable.
