DEW-SCENTED - Inwards

Even before listening to the record, even before hearing all the hype, all I could think of was one thing: is Dew-Scented a band or a new type of laundry detergent? Incredibly inappropriate band name aside, Dew-Scented represents the new school of German thrash, which really means we're in for a The-Haunted- meets-Destruction-taken-over-by-Carnal-Forge vibe. Yes, I know two of those aforementioned bands are Swedish: that's what makes this album trendy and accessible. However, on the other hand, one of those units I mentioned is German, and that's where the (relative) brutality is coming from. Shorts bursts of speedy intensity are the name of the game, and there's never been anything wrong with that combination (formula?). But, for the love of god, change the freakin' name.
