KING DIAMOND - House Of God

The mighty King Diamond is back and stronger than ever in the new millennium. Since the mid-'80s, King Diamond has been masterful in his delivery of tales of terror in his own unique style, offering another bizarre story line full of twists, turns and ironies. His voice has not lost a step over the years, still the same amazing range. There is something eerily retro, yet totally modern about House Of God. It is both heavier and more accessible at the same time. Could it be that the experience of guitarist Andy Larocque, with King from day 1, has blended with the aggression of Glen Drover, who makes his KD studio debut, to add yet another dimension to the patented King Diamond sound? I think so. The feel of Abigail, Fatal Portrait and Conspiracy are recanted but not in a dated manner. Quite enjoyable - ye will not be disappointed.
