PEGAZUS - In Metal We Trust

Long dormant Aussie power metallers, well, at least in the eyes of the world Up Yonder, have issued their first studio album since The Headless Horseman, for Nuclear Blast back in ’02! Still playing clubs across Australia, with various line-ups, PEGAZUS will return to the German festival circuit this summer and as such, issue eleven new tunes. The ‘Old Skool Metal Dayz’ finale (a duplicated, albeit extended version of a song that appears elsewhere, complete with southern US preacher’s warning) features guitar solos from MANOWAR alumni Dave Shankle, ROSS THE BOSS and DOKKEN pal Jeff Watson. Straight ahead beer drinking, fist thrusting traditional metal. Right Bruce, no pooftas! Well, there is a cover of JUDAS PRIEST’s ‘Metal Gods’, a tempo which fits perfectly with Pegazus originals. Even the (dare I say) “tender” moment, ‘Haunting Me’ turns into a mid-tempo workout around the drum kit. ‘Metal Messiah’ kicks things off in fine, flag waving style. Can almost visualize the synchronized stage movements! ‘Road Warrior’ begins with an obscure clip from the movie of the same name.

Welcome back boys!
