POWER SYMPHONY - Lightbringer

Musically this release has some very sound points. Flowing guitars, interesting tempo changes and dark progressive elements, a la Tristania are found here. However, when you consider all of the female-fronted releases of this genre over the last two years, the vocals can take some getting use to, singer Michela D'Orlando in possession of a lower octave voice and a distinct accent. When compared to the operatic vocalists of Theatre Of Tragedy, Tristania and Therion, for example, she lacks the range. Too bad, because as I said before, the music here is actually quite good.
