TERROR 2000 - Faster Disaster

This promo was personally given to me by Bjorn "Speed" Strid, vocalist in Soilwork and Terror 2000. I don't mention this fact to brag; I only mention such a remark in order to communicate the large grin that lit up Strid's face when I asked about the new Terror 2000 record. And there's lots to be happy about with Faster Disaster. Being a big fan of this side project's debut album, Slaughterhouse Supremacy ('Son Of A Gun, Daughter Of A Slaughter' still gets regular play in my stereo... thanks Tim L.!), it can be said that Faster Disaster ups the ante and takes the unbridled "speed, speed and more speed!" approach of the first album, and combines it with a thicker thrash attack that was missing amongst Slaughterhouse Supremacy's chaos. Add a hefty dose of dark melody, Strid's shrieking (none of his clean Soilwork vox are apparent here, thankfully) and you have a full-on, "let's break shit!" album. For maximum effect, turn up 'Formula Flame Feast' and 'Killing Machine' as you speed down the highway or, alternately, annoy your neighbours/folks/spouse/whatever.
