THE BERZERKER - The Berzerker

What a mess. Industrial-influenced death grind that has total potential to stun. Yet with The Berzerker it sounds like a rushed thoughtless affair. One fears the band put more thought in deciding what samples to use than their musical execution; the overall weakness of this comes in the production and sound. Sure the raw and primitive sound fits the bestial atmosphere but if the mix were stronger, it would be more vicious and that annoying drum machine sounds like its coming out of a Game Boy. Unlike many of the Relapse bands who do this style of music with integrity, The Berzerker have to get their shit together real soon.
