TWISTED SISTER - Still Hungry

FINALLY, people outside the NYC/NJ area will learn what a heavy band Twisted Sister were, not the candy-coat cartoon that MTV made them out to be. While the likes of 'SMF' made it on to the original version of Stay Hungry, it's what the WEA suits axed that showcases "Sister" as the monster live attraction they actually were on the East coast. Who cares about 'We're Not Gonna Take It'? The five newly re-recorded efforts (plus a pair of lost tracks from the original '84 sessions) kick the album's ass. Even if you weren't around in the '80s, you've got to realize how different these tunes are (ie. uncompromising/heavy) for a so-called hair band (a categorization the Twisted I grew up with would have pissed all over)! Great to have 'You Know I Cried', 'Rock n Roll Saviors' (as viable now as it was in the disco era) and 'Blasting Fast & Loud' available for a live set, anywhere around the globe. I'm still an SMF!
