VADER - Welcome To The Morbid Reich

One of VADER's main strengths has been their remarkable string of high quality releases. Never wavering between good to excellent, the Polish death metal legends are a no risk proposition when pondering one's next musical purchase. Their latest falls snugly somewhere in the middle of this quality barometer. On the one hand there are some cracking classics that can be added to their live repetoire (the ultra-brutal 'Decapitated Saints' especially warrants mentioning). Pats on the back too for taking the risk of adding some orchestral keyboards into the mix, which actually enhances, without detracting from, their legendary power. On the other hand though, there are a few passengers along on this ride, not quite filler by any means, but certainly representing a drop in quality. So, while not quite up to the status of Black To The Blind or Litany, it does slide in just below the classics. Crushing as always.
