2023 In Pictures Part 1 – To The Clubs, The Seas, And The Biggest Festivals!

Even with the inflated expenses, compounded by a crunch for (un)available tour buses and roadies that led to delays/cancellations, 2023 was almost like old (pre-pandemic) times. Was privileged enough to see several hundred bands play, during the last 12 months, many names/faces you know, lots more you should investigate.
There's plenty happening apart from the biggest names in the arenas: multi-day festivals across the globe, including many fledgling North America events, gaining traction, as well as a seemingly endless string of club dates and high profile, package tours. In the first half of the year, witnessed club shows by Powerwolf (continental debut, in NYC), Morgul Blade, Vicious Rumors, Century, Helloween/HammerFall, as well as destination showcases like 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise, Hell's Heroes (Houston), Decibel Beer & Metal (Philly), Legions of Metal (Chicago) and Tons Of Rock (Oslo).
Many of those days/nights are re-lived here and the remainder of '23 will be represented in a second gallery. Relish the memories, as we look forward to an even more productive 2024.
