Already a definite Texas vibe to the line-up, what with Omen, Watchtower and Solitude Aeturnus being on today's bill. Then, as a surprise, Helstar (who had played the night before), stepped in for the cancellation of Agent Steel. Pallbearers carried a casket onstage and smiling, vampiric frontman James Rivera arose from the dead, to entertain us all (but himself, foremost).

A full report will be forthcoming, in the meantime, here's some visual highlights, including a rousing, start to the day, courtesy of Intranced, who ingratiated themselves to the Spanish speakers in attendance A rare appearance by Morbid Saint was relished by many. Stygian Crown offered their doom, inside the White Oak Music Hall, while out on the lawn (muddied by the previous night's torrential thunderstorms, but not to Wacken proportions!)

Eternal Champion (who also hail from the Lone Star State, although guitarist Arthur Rizk calls Philly home) orchestrated an open air sing-along, with rapt fans. The night was capped by Queensrÿche kicking off their tour, in which they're performing the EP and The Warning, sequentially Enjoy!
