Day 2 had a decidedly more death metal taste. Several of the participating breweries mixed it up, offering different options than the day before. Bands kicked off with Philly's own Daeva, offering their take on early Norwegian black metal, albeit more tuneful.

Lamp Of Murmuur, in corpsepaint & half the face covering veils were a sight to behold. The hardcore laced Will Haven, with spasmodic moving frontman/aka Alec Baldwin doppelganger, Grady Avenell, stood apart from the other sounds of the day. 200 Stab Wounds blasted out a straight ahead set of death, while the progressive, jazz/funk influenced death metal of Tomb Mold sees the drummer offer early John Tardy (Obituary) inspired vocalizations.

Are they lyrics? What are they smoking up there in Canada? Wow! Dying Fetus seemed to be the most popular act of the day, some coming long distances, just to see this old school, "greatest hits" performance. Glen Benton and Deicide also offered up a flashback to the past, each member surrounded by a pillbox of wedge monitors. Here's a glimpse of what transpired.

A full run-down of the weekend, including an in-depth look at the beers on tap, will be posted shortly.
