MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine has issued the following:

"Droogs,

It is before 6 AM and I am getting ready to do the school drive with my kids, and then head to the airport to go to see the Marshall factory and eventually end up at Guitarfest. I am really looking forward to going to the factory again, because it really is much more that an amplifier, isn't it?

I have wanted and loved Marshall amps ever since I could comprehend what becoming a professional musician meant. Of course there were times when I couldn't afford them, or when some in the industry tried to say they weren't "still the very best" because someone else doesn't use them.

Of course they would say, "Bollocks!" which is like me saying, "BULLSH*T!"

And if you have been following the events over the last two weeks, you would know that I am also going to play a song at the Guitarfest trade show. I am not quite sure how this happened, and I NEVER do this, so I am just going to go with the flow, and I know that I am with people I like, so what's the problem, right?

Plus, I am back in England, which I absolutely love to visit, Shawn has been asked to come play at the Guitarfest, Andy Sneap's house is just down the road from Birmingham, and we are all flying back together to continue with making the new record.

As I left yesterday, James and Chris were hard at work in the Jam Room, working on deciphering old riffs and laying them down with new guitar by CB, and to grids and clicks and all that Pro-Tools jargon. I have to say that I am really proud of those two for their perserverance; working with me in the studio is hard, because I have so many things that I am working on all at once.

And that is why we do what we do, because we have a chance to do all of these things and go to all of these places. Priest Feast is almost upon us, and there will be some serious metal getting played over the beginning of next year.

Hell, if things work out the way we are planning it, we may even have some new songs to hear by the time we are out on tour with JUDAS PRIEST and TESTAMENT.

That always seems so lame though, because it obvious some will want to hear something, regardless of if it is shit or not, just to say they heard it, and then there are the ones that really like it and go home hearing it and think it is good until the d*ckwad that heard it just to say he heard it posts that the song isn't any good, and then those that like it may just change their minds.

I know I don't really appreciate a song being played that I don't know. I watched an entertainer about three years ago at the Royal Albert Hall, and he played stuff off of his first albums for the first hour, and it was like old people f*cking, I thought I was dying! and I didn't want to seem an ingrate, so I sat there, feeling like I was being eaten alive by fire ants.

Needless to say, I won't be seeing that entertainer again, nor will I ever indulge you in an hour of select cuts from my first two records. That, and the fact that there is barely an hour of music there anyway, since it was back when people used vinyl and there were only four songs on a side of a record, instead of "A 16 song CD and a blow-up doll!"

Well, the alarm just went off. Gotta go get the kids off to higher education so they can one day straighten out this f*cked up government. Or maybe not.

If you really want to "hear" from me, be sure to call me on TheLiveLine at (866) 597-6342 and for our international Droogies click here. Leave me a message and I might get back to you."
