BW&BK's Martin Popoff Gearing Up For Tomorrow's First Annual Montréal Metal Gathering

As previously reported, the first annual Montréal Metal Gathering is scheduled for tomorrow (November 15th) at La Place À Côté. Special guests include Tim "Ripper" Owens (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/ex-JUDAS PRIEST/ICED EARTH singer) and BW&BK; Editor In Chief Martin Popoff. Montréal-based POTION 13 will open up the festivities.
Says Popoff: "Less than 24 hours to go before the trip to Montreal to hang out with Ripper and a bunch of you who have been emailing me, plus our intrepid organizer Marc-Andre Boulay. I’ll be bringing a full slate of my books that I’ll have available for sale, signing etc., plus swingin’ some deals with a bevy of backstage passes thrown in (long story – I’ll explain at the gig!). But yeah, just got the new backstage pass art book plus my new DEEP PURPLE (more info here). We’ll be doing interviews and stuff as well, and there’s a good local band playing – see ya on Saturday!"
Owens also sent BW&BK; the following update recently: "I will be hanging with everyone during the day and signing autographs then getting up on stage and singing 10 to 15 classic metal tunes! And whatever else they want me to do! This is a don't miss event; get in your car, on a plane and get there - one-of-a-kind night! There will be other guests there as well."
