As previously reported, X JAPAN recently cancelled their upcoming live shows in Paris, France on November 22nd and at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on December 24th and 25th "due to a number of administrative decisions." An official statement issued through management was released here, but drummer/founder Yoshiki has issued a personal message to the fans as well. It appears below in English and French.

"I am so sorry…

I don’t know how to express my feelings towards our fans, all of you who were so happy at the thought of seeing X Japan concerts in Paris and Japan.

Even though the decision was not mine, I take full responsibility for it. And I don’t take this lightly. My heart is still sinking. I can’t stand the pain of having broken the hearts of our cherished fans, you who have supported me all these years.

I was really looking forward to playing these concerts but our production company has many issues to resolve before we can start touring again. I was ready to go on tour no matter the conditions. If we could have been there, we would have given you the best show.

Sometimes I hate everything…I hate myself as well…

Hate me…hate me again…but I still love you. I sometimes wonder if I should have reopened that door called 'X Japan'. But at the same time, I don’t know how to close it either."

Je ne sais pas comment décrire mes sentiments envers nos fans, vous qui vous étiez réjouis à l'idée de voir les concerts de X Japan à Paris et au Japon.

Même si la décision n'était pas la mienne, j'en prends pleine responsabilité. Et je ne le prends pas à la légère. J'en ai encore le cœur serré. Je ne supporte pas la douleur d'avoir brisé le cœur de nos très très chers fans, vous qui m'avez tant soutenu toutes ces années.

J'avais vraiment hâte de faire ces concerts mais notre compagnie de production a beaucoup de problèmes à résoudre avant que nous puissions recommencer notre tournée.

J'étais prêt à partir en tournée dans n'importe quelles conditions. Si nous avions pu être là, nous vous aurions offert le meilleur spectacle. Parfois je déteste tout…je me déteste aussi…

Haïssez-moi…. haïssez-moi encore…mais je vous aime toujours. Je me demande parfois si j'aurais du rouvrir cette porte qui s'appelle "X Japan". Mais en même temps, je ne sais pas non plus comment la fermer."
