SLAYER Confirm They Have Title For New Record ... But They Aren't Telling!

German edition of Metal Hammer have posted a new a video interview with SLAYER guitarist Kerry King. During he chat, King tells that he already has a title for the next record and various song-titles. The previously announced album release of summer 2009 might nevertheless be a bit "optimistic" he says.

Additionally, he talks about Rick Rubin as producer and reveals his distaste of Rubin hardly ever coming to the studio. It's not what Kerry King expects a producer to act like.

The members of Slayer - Tom Araya/bass, Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman/guitars, and Dave Lombardo/drums - spent a couple of weeks in a Southern California recording studio earlier this month tracking three new songs for an album due sometime in 2009.

Fans who attend any of the European Unholy Alliance Tour, Chapter III dates, will receive the new Slayer song via an exclusive download card that will also include special material from the entire tour's line-up - Slayer, MASTODON, TRIVIUM and AMON AMARTH. The download card, along with a limited edition Unholy Alliance Tour clothing patch, will be given away free only to ticket holders when they arrive at their local venue the night of the show.
