BATTLELORE has completed her report from the Finnish Fire tour with KORPIKLAANI, KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI and FALCHION, which wrapped up on December 5th in Leeds, UK. Excerpts are available below.

Bochum, Matrix - Nov. 28th:

"A place we visited with ATROCITY / LEAVES' EYES Tour in 2004. We knew this was a great place to play, and there would be a huge party afterwards. The show was again wonderful, and all of us were on a party mood. Kaisa and Maria went to the audience while Korpiklaani was playing and threw a few pairs of underwear (strings) on stage - well, the guys picked them up and then realized what they were, hehehe. They loved our little gimmick and put the strings to hang on the reindeer horns. What a lovely sight! So, we partied all night long… 4.30 we left for Belgium. Good night, sleeping tight."

Amsterdam, Melkweg - Nov. 30th:

"We arrived at Amsterdam early in the morning, met with the police (bus was parked in the wrong place), and Christian (our driver) did an amazing job getting the huge bus to fit into the small streets of Amsterdam and at the venue. Jussi had the head back home and normal life, back to work, and our second rasta Tommi Lintunen (who filled in for Jyri during the Evernight tour 2007) joined Battlelore for the rest of the tour. The gig was great and the Dutch crowd really seemed to know how to have fun! So, some sauna-beers and we headed for the United Kingdom in the early hours of night."

Glasgow, Cathouse - Dec. 2nd:

"We saw our first snow this winter on our way to Scotland - the snowy hills did remind us of Finland. When we got to Glasgow, the snow had melted and the city was clean of snow. This was our first visit to Scotland, and we’d all been waiting for it for a long time. So it was great to see so many people come and see the show, and meet us afterwards - a few of them from Finland! One of the best compliments we’ve ever heard was from here - a Finnish fan in Glasgow asked us to sign our CD, which he bought at the show. He then told us that there were only two bands he’d ever asked for autographs - one was us and the other IRON MAIDEN. What can one say to that?? Wow. Definitely honoured."
