RockPages.gr recently caught up with MONSTER MAGNET frontman Dave Wyndorf. A portion of the interview appears below:

Rockpages.gr : It’s been a year since your latest album, 4-Way Diablo. I’m just wondering if you have any news about the new album…

Dave Wyndorf: "The new album is under construction right now. I’m sitting in my house, I’m in my kitchen right now and my whole house, the kitchen, the dinning room, is completely filled with guitars and recording equipment and stuff. Every day I wake up and write something new and put it together. When I finish that, hopefully, I can be in the studio next February or March and have the new record out in Spring time or Summer."

Rockpages.gr: How do you feel being the only original member of the band (left)?

Dave Wyndorf: "That’s a good question. You know, the transition between members of this band has been so slight. I mean, over the course of years and years I don’t notice it that much. From the very beginning, ever since we got out, they very early days, with John and Tom and Tim and I, I’ve always felt that as much as I wanted that all original guys would stay, my brain was involved with stuff 24 hours a day, that it was light years beyond what the other guys were thinking about. I would never ask anybody to work as much as I did anyway. So I didn’t think about it that much. Now that you ask me though, I always thought that this is my thing to carry on, and who ever wants to carry it on with me, that’s fine! Right now the band I have is like the best band that’s ever been, so I’m happy with that. I feel like it’s still my thing."
