The following update on ex-WARLOCK vocalist Doro Pesch's 25th Anniversary show, which took place on December 13th in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been issued by her webmaster:

More than 8,000 fans from all over the world, a more than three hour set full of musical highlights, a fantastic stage, great guests and a rocking aftershow party. Our Metal Queen really rocked the Dome and she played one of her best shows ever. But not only did the fans go wild, all the guest musicians (Tarja Turunen, Sabina Classen, Bobby Blitz, Warrel Dane, Girlschool, Axel Rudi Pell to name but a few) admired Doro for her powerful show as well.

“Doro really is the Queen of Metal,” said Scorpions singer Klaus Meine. He entered the stage to perform two duets with Doro on 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' and 'Big City Nights'.

His friend and band member Rudolf Schenker said: “I think the secret of Doro's success is that she loves her fans so much and that she loves them and her music very, very much. DORO is really down to earth, she lives for her music – you can feel that.”

Doro's friend and boxing world champion Regina Halmich opened the night with a nice speech. Later on she said: "It was a fantastic night. She really deserved such a fantastic night and I’m happy the concert was a success. She is such a lovely and honest person. I’m really happy for her and I’m glad she was able to celebrate this special night in her hometown like she dreamed she would.”

And what about the birthday girl? She was really exhausted after the concert but she was also very, very happy: "That’s just the way I wished the concert would be like. It was the longest, greatest and best show we’ve ever played. I would like to thank everybody for coming and for making it such a wonderful night. Most of all, I would like to thank my loyal fans for all their love and support!"

BW&BK;'s Mark Gromen was in attendance; his report can be found here.
