CRASH KELLY vocalist/guitarist Sean Kelly has issued the following update:

"I'm sitting here working on my goals for 2009, and I am buzzing with anticipation of all the fun things that are in store... I've been working on some new music, and the plan is to get the boys in the studio very shortly to commit this stuff to tape... well, hard drive actually, but you know what I mean! I'm feeling a lean and mean, hooky as hell, British influenced hard rock type of vibe... Classic Rock for Trying Times! I'm also hard at work on a new nylon string record that will bring my love of classic rock and classical guitar together in a very cool way... stay tuned!

2008 was a blast, and I thought I'd make a list of the highlights of the year passed.

1) The release in North America and Japan of One More Heart Attack (Europe to follow in early 2009!)... not in a million years did I ever think I'd be looking at an album I made and reading that Rudy Sarzo played bass on it... not to mention the contributions from Gilby Clarke, Moe Berg, Brian Tichy... unreal! Thank you to Opening Day Entertainment (Canada), Warrior Records (US), Spirtitual Beast (Japan), and Universal Music for getting it out there!

2) Our Canadian tour with Gilby Clarke, a 15 date romp across the country (many thanks to Jamie Robertson of Down With Webster for filling in when Al couldn't make it!)

3) Supporting The Black Crowes at Sarnia Bay Fest, Honeymoon Suite at Sudbury Summerfest, and The Headpins at Rock N Roll Heaven

4) Making our return to Queen Street West with a headline set at Tattoo Rock Parlour with the mighty Dean Lickyer (watch these boys, they are on their way to the TOP!)

5) Receiving a stunning 9/10 review in Classic Rock Magazine for OMHA, a feature in BURRN! magazine in Japan, and the incredible support at home from Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles!

The gigs are already rolling in for 2009, and we are raring to get out and rock with you once again... oh yeah, I've seen the future, and it is round, black (or other colours!), and spins at 33 or 45 RPM... time to bring the vinyl back baby! Rome may be burning (bye bye old music industry models), but I'm gonna record my electric fiddle on a stack of black action, you dig???

Oh yeah, thanks to all the CK fans who picked up a copy of Christmas Guitar, my second nylon string album... you all helped give me another acoustic hit, and I thank you for it! By the way, I can't think of a cooler way to have closed out my 2008 performing year than getting to play with The Canadian Brass at Roy Thomson Hall, what an honor!

God Bless You All! Happy New Year"
