hot flashes news god forbid

GOD FORBID have issued the following:

"After displaying some of the heavier tracks from Earthsblood, we thought we would give you guys a taste of one of the more melodic songs. 'Walk Alone' is an infectious rock/thrash tune, and has some fun guitar solo action going on as well.

Also, note that we've altered our website a bit where you do not have sign up to view the site or listen to the songs, but will need to sign up to explore the site or download the free mp3 of 'War Of Attrition'.

God Forbid kicks off 2009 with a bang as they prepare to hit the road with LAMB OF GOD, AS I LAY DYING, CHILDREN OF BODOM and MUNICIPAL WASTE as part of the No Fear Energy sponsored Wrath North American tour. The trek commences in Phoenix, Arizona on April 2nd and covers 35 markets through the U.S. and Canada, ending in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina May 15th. See below to view the tour’s complete routing.

This tour also marks God Forbid’s first North American run in support of their new album, Earthsblood, which is set for a Feb. 24th release. A specially priced pre-order for the album is now available exclusively here that features a double disc version of Earthsblood (second disc is a full live set recorded at The Starland Ballroom) and limited edition t-shirt for only $18.

Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) further states: “I can’t begin to explain how honored and excited we are to be part of this tour with Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and Municipal Waste. LOG are some of our closest and oldest friends in the metal scene, and for them to extend the offer means more than they probably know. This will be one of the biggest tours we’ve ever done, and I can’t think of a better way to kick off the Earthsblood touring cycle. This will be the first chance to showcase some of the new material, hopefully reach out to a whole host of new fans.

This opportunity is one of the best of our career. Although we’ll have a short set, we intend to play a very intense group of new and old songs. We’ve never toured with AILD, but are good friends with them, and it will be great to finally tour together. Bodom are some old drinking buddies, and destroying our livers nightly will be good times. Municipal Waste are incredible, so finally getting to tour with them is sick. We’ve known Dave Witte from the local Jersey scene for years. This will be one of the best tours of 2009 hands down, so get your tickets early, and get ready to rage!

Earthsblood was produced by Eric Rachel (ATREYU) with Christian Olde Wolbers (FEAR FACTORY, THREAT SIGNAL) handling all vocal production and Jens Bogren (OPETH) on mixing duties.
