News.com.au is reporting:

AC/DC will fly the Aussie flag at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles today. But much of the pre-show buzz is about whether veteran rockers AC/DC will break a three-decade losing streak at music's version of the Oscars.

Despite revolutionising rock, selling more than 200 million albums worldwide and scoring four previous nominations including 1989's Blow Up Your Video and 1994's Highway To Hell, the band has never won a Grammy.

The band, formed in Sydney in 1973, is nominated this year in the best rock performance by a duo or group category for the song 'Rock N Roll Train'.

But while the category may be rock, AC/DC is facing subdued competition. They're up against the sleepy COLDPLAY (Violet Hill), EAGLES (Long Road Out Of Eden), RADIOHEAD (House Of Cards) and KINGS OF LEON (Sex On Fire).
