Germany's THE NEW BLACK, featuring SINNER guitarist Christof Leim, have issued the following update:

"Dear Blackies and Blackettes!

Things are rolling nicely, very nicely since our debut The New Black was released in January. The responses are great, and so were the shows we played with VOLBEAT one week after the release.

Three out of five band members were affected by the 'satanic bronchitis' a.k.a. 'Grippe666' that Fabs cooked up, but we pulled through and played in front of huge crowds that actually gave us some love. Thanks to everyone who was there, and thanks to the Volbeat guys, their management and our agent Schrörg for setting it up and taking us on! That was a nice way to ring in the Year Of The Black (as we like to call 2009 when no one is listening, haha).

Our buddies at Metal Hammer published a tour report blog thing at their website about the four shows with Volbeat and our days in a green van. Another cool little thing: We made it to the Media Markt sales charts and to the Hellfest charts, with single and album nonetheless. We're impressed. Thanks.
