Melodic rock/metal DJ Chris Nelson from Rock 247 Online has issued the following update:

"Yes Rock 247 is back on air. It's been a long time coming, in fact the last transmission was before Xmas 08. The reason we were off air for so long is that the station was in financial trouble, but everything has now been sorted with a new financial backer and an even better streaming quality. Rock 247 is already on air but my first show starts Saturday 28th February. I've cut down on an hour, but its crammed full of the best new releases in melodic rock and metal and now runs from 5.00-7.00 pm every Saturday. To kick things off with a bang, I've got two fantastic interviews that should have been aired by now, but as explained you know the reason why. Anyway first up from 5.00-6.00 pm on the Hair Metal Haven I'll be talking to WHITE SISTER about their appearance at last years Firefest and their plans to record a new album. Then on the Power Hour form 6.00-7.00 pm I've got an interview with Veronica Freeman of BENEDICTUM fame, talking about their appearance at the Hard Rock Hell festival and their current album Seasons Of Tragedy. So join me Saturday, February 28th, for a fantastic two hours of melodic madness. It's great to be back and watch out in the next month for interviews with DORO, STEELHEART, POWERQUEST, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, BANG TANGO, FASTER PUSSYCAT, MILLION, DARK SKY, MARILLION, ALESTORM, CLOVEN HOOF and JOSH RAMOS.
