Rockpages.gr has issued an interview with guitar legend YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, in which he discusses a variety of subjects.

In the following excerpt he discusses his latest studio record, Perpetual Flame:

Q: What made you chose Roy Z for the album mixing?

A: "Well, you know, I’ve always produced the albums... So, I was thinking for this one, to let someone from “the outside” do the mixing. At the end of the day Roy came in. He’s done a great mixing, very good job! He’s a cool guy."

Q: How did you pick Derek Sherinian to participate?

A: "Yeah, Derek and I go way back, did a lot of touring together..."

As previously reported, Malmsteen will release a all instrumental acoustic album, Angels Of Love, containing rearrangements of his ballads.

The album will be available on March 10th through Rising Force Records in North American and April 1st in Japan with a bonus track via Universal. Some song titles include: 'Like An Angel', 'Save Our Love', 'Prelude To April', 'Sorrow', 'Memories', 'Miracle Of Life', 'Forever One'.

According to a press release, "Angels Of Love is the instrumental version of the best Yngwie Malmsteen love songs played on acoustic guitar, keyboards with string and choir arrangements only. It is a master piece showing the tender, delicate version of his classic songs which will appeal to all adult consumers who are into romantic/new age and instrumental songs as well as Yngwie Malmsteen fans and rock music fans alike."
