Swedish death metal act GODHATE (formerly THRONEAEON) have issued the following update:

"Mike (Geerberg) has been replaced... and the new drummer in Godhate is Simon Granath! Simon was a part of the Swedish tour and has proven to be the best drummer Godhate has ever had.

About the split with Mike: From the moment when Mike began in Godhate, in spring 2007, until today he has made a great progress in playing drums. Still, after 18 month's of intense training, he couldn't deliver our songs neither on album nor live, and in the end he told us he no longer had the same ambition as the others. Work, friends, party and slalom was big parts in his life and all this togheter this didn't fit perfect with the schedule. I'm sure Mike had the will to in the beginning... I mean he has spent several hours in the rehearsal room beating up his drumkit, and this must have been for a cause.

In fall 2008 we all came to the conclusion that Mike had to be replaced.

We have had really great times that none of the 2008 lineup will forget, and we wish Mike all the luck in finding a new band that will fit his capacity."
