Finnish metallers THUNDERSTONE have issued the following update:

"A preliminary release date for Thunderstone’s fifth studio album is set for September 2009. The original release date of April 2009 was postponed because the band wants to take their time finishing what bass player Titus Hjelm says will be their ‘heaviest, grooviest and all around best album yet’. The exact date and further information on the release will be published in the coming months. Stay tuned!"

Thunderstone recently posted the new song called ‘Star’ on their MySpace page "showcasing the band at its heaviest so far and featuring guest vocals from AMORPHIS frontman Tomi Joutsen," according to an update.

The song was also released on Playground Music’s Dark Playground compilation, which was available for free at the Finnish Metal Expo which ran from February 13th-14th.
