hot flashes news warmen

MetalFromFinland.com has revealed that CHILDREN OF BODOM keyboardist Janne Wirman's new long awaited WARMEN album will be called Japanese Hospitality. It will feature two cover songs - a Warmen tradition - 'Janet Jackson's 'Black Cat' and JOURNEY's 'Separate Ways'. Guest vocalists include COB frontman Alexi Laiho, THUNDERSTONE's former singer Pasi Rantanen, and Jonna Kosonen, all of whom appeared on Warmen's 2005 album Accept The Fact.

Kosonen also provided the female vocals alongside Laiho for Children Of Bodom's infamous cover of Britney Spears' 'Oops I Did It Again'.

Following is an excerpt from an interview conducted with Wirman by the COB fan site Scythes Of Bodom in December 2008, where he discussed the eventual title of the new record.

Q: Any news on Warmen?

Janne: "Yes. We're currently working on the fourth album and all the drums, basses, guitars, and some of the vocals are already recorded. I'm so busy touring with COB right now that it's kind of difficult, but all I've got to do when I get home is record keyboards, solos, remaining vocals and mix the whole thing."

Q: Can you reveal the title?

Janne: "No. Well, okay, I have to tell you that the title was going to be Japanese Hospitality, but then Chinese Democracy came out before it so it would have ruined my idea. Japanese Hospitality was my idea for a Warmen album for years because Japanese hospitality exists, unlike Chinese democracy. They (GUNS N' ROSES) fucked up my idea so I have to come up with something new."
