The video track 'Do You Ever', from the upcoming Phobia release from CARPATHIAN FOREST bass player VRANGSINN (NATTEFROST, SECHT, A WASTE OF TALENT) has been uploaded onto his MySpace page. Both the video, and the audio track are still in the production stages, with the audio track featuring Vrangsinn on vocals and most of the instruments, and Eirik Skrangle, who also provides the bottle-cap animation, on two- string homemade bass, Fröken Tuva on Flute and Skaperen (A WASTE OF TALENT) on acoustic guitar - left speaker. SLAGMAUR’s General Gribbsphiiser is currently recording cello parts for the track.

“Phobia” will be a multi-media release that incorporates music, video and other visual arts from various contributors, all of whom volunteered their services, and their art, for free, after Vrangsinn invited people who were interested in participating in the project to contact him. As its name suggests, the project deals with people’s phobias, and will be released on Misantrof ANTIRecords later this year. Founded and headed by Vrangsinn himself, Misantrof is a label that makes all its releases, from bands that include ORCUSTUS, DEATHCULT and NIDINGR, available for free download, and whose only source of income is through voluntary contributions from fans and supporters.

Vrangsinn, who as well as being a musician, is also a producer, is currently working on the new album from Carpathian Forest, and features on the forthcoming Engangsgrill split album from black metal legends Nattefrost and Fenriz. He also provided music for the soundtrack of Kim Sønderholm’s recently released horror film Rovdrift.
