Finnish guitarist Mika Tyyskä, creator of The Guitar Shred Show animated guitar tutorial site featuring Mr. Fastfinger, has issued the following update:

"Heard few days ago that Mr. Fastfinger was picked as one 'Big Eight' on the Guitar Player Magazine's page showcasing MySpace heroes. I think it's on the July issue, haven't seen it myself yet. Humble we are!

Today I had the idea of editing the song list here on Mr. Fastfinger's MySpace. Decided to delete out old jam improvisations 'Ninja Slides In Action' and 'Tap With The Bird'. Just to make room for 'real music' and new tracks from the album. Immediately after deleting the tracks, I got a message from a guy named Lip Silent Assassin. He was asking why I deleted 'Ninjas Slides In Action' because that's the track that was reviewed on the magazine!

Ah-aaa! So I put back the 'Ninja Slides In Action', in case somebody from the mag readers wants to hear it. But also added two tracks from the album, 'Humble Moves' and 'The Ninjas I'. If you listen carefully you'll probably notice that the 'Ninja Slides In Action' is actually an extended solo from 'The Ninjas'. Both versions share some of the same ideas but the jam version concentrates exploring the use those ninja slide techniques.

'The Ninjas I' features the high class Ninja team (in order of appearance) of Mattias IA Eklundh, Christophe Godin, Niko Tsonev and Mr. Fastfinger. Serious jutsu!"

As previously reported, Mr. Fastfinger's album, The Way Of The Exploding Guitar, is out now. It features Jordan Rudess (DREAM THEATER), Mattias IA Eklundh (FREAK KITCHEN), Christophe Godin, Niko Tsonev and Ran Ran du Ran.

According to a press release, the 50-minute album consist of 12 new compostions. Strong melodies and rhythms, energy, joy, feelings and emotions. It is a rock album, but you can hear influences from many styles. From hairy '80's rock to epic soundtracks. From metal to ethnic tones.
