hot flashes news the accused

THE ACCUSED's new full-length, The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead, is scheduled for release August 18th, 2009 via Southern Lord Records.

The band teamed up with Billy Anderson at Seattle's Soundhouse Recording studio to create the epic beast of a long player. With Anderson at the controls, The Accused have indeed splattered the carnage far and wide. The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead - their first full-length in four years - features 14 tracks of brutal splatter rock mayhem chock full of the band's trademark buzzsaw-guitar riffs and manic, glass-shard-swallowing vocals.

Commented founding guitarist Tommy Niemeyer on the new record, "...old fans of the band will not be disappointed in the feel and intensity on this record... and those who've never really heard The Accused are in for something like they've never heard before!"

Song titles include 'The Splatterbeast', 'Bodies Are Rising' and 'Martha's Disciples'.

The band will kick off a string of live dates starting at the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham on July 25th with THORR'S HAMMER, CORRUPTED, SKULLFLOWER and more.

The official record release celebration for The Curse Of Martha Splatterhead is scheduled for August 5th at Neumo's in Seattle where The Accused will be joined by headliners SUNN O))) as well as BLACK BREATH and TRAP THEM.
